I enjoy your videos so much and I even can't say we have similar literature taste or similar views in general. But you are so smart, well spoken and entertaining, I can listen to you for the longest time!

I love the honesty of your videos. If you don’t like the books you always tell us. I understand that authors put a lot of effort into writing a book but not every book is for everyone and sometimes it can be a good book but just wrong time to read it. Your reviews get straight to the point which I love.

I was looking forward to your review of a few of these, and was not disappointed. Glad you got around to do it before the end of the year.

Know my name is also a favorite of mine ! That woman can write ! I and she can draw (following her on IG). I read Indigenous authors all year long. I have all these books on my TBR. Actually one of the best books about the history was also written by Treur. Rez Life explains all the broken treaties and all the laws passed to take all their rights and lands away and their fighting and the recent events. I read them all the time. Glad you joined that challenge ! Chanel Miller is an amazing woman.

Looking forward to all the upcoming videos, and I liked the length of this one! Love a long video. I'm halfway through Know My Name and it's one of the most beautifully written things I've ever read, she is amazing

I think you would really enjoy Betty by Tiffany McDaniel, it's about Betty growing up with a Cherokee father and white mother spanning the 50 to 70s and it's inspired by the author's own mother. My top read of 2020.

Thank you for those - yes I will definitely read Know My Name. Janet Frame wrote some some really good autobiographies, beautiful language and stark circumstances. I recently read Rebecca Solnit's Recollections of my Nonexistence, again the language is glorious. I loved Tove Ditlevsen's three little memoirs translated from Danish. I found The Devil that Danced on the Water fascinating and again, really well written. So many books, so little time. Happy sigh!
