Is vivy still alive and continue make everyone happy with her song?

Looking on the bright side, Vivy died accomplishing her mission but still had a century of trauma behind her. This new Vivy will carry on her mission but without all the trauma, and as much as it pains me to say it, she deserved some rest

*Just putting this here for people who are confused about why Vivy died*
From what the Archive has explained, the song that Vivy made was an original song. An AI making something original out of personal desire rather than being commanded was an important sign of self-consciousness or a soul. The Archive turned that song Vivy made into some sort of "password" that force shuts down ALL and I mean ALL AIs connected to the Archive.

To answer the question why did Vivy died was the result of two things. The first one was the program that Matsumoto used to destroy the Archive which wipes out personality data. This affects ALL of the AIs connected to the Archive, I think. In Vivy's word, memories are what defines a person so in my opinion, wiping a personality also wipes out memories. The second one was the shut down code that force shut down all AIs. The shut down code was Vivy's original song. Remember, Vivy is a AI connected to the Archive so the personality wiping program also affected her and she was also shut down by her own song. In a sense, she pretty much "died" as her memories and original personality were erased.

I think a lot of people missed it but this ending while yes being bitter sweet meant vivy finally finding her heart at the cost of her past. She has found her humanity thats why in the last close up of her face she has fluorite eyes not robot eyes and her skin looks more alive and vibrant and not shiny and fake.

Some may think Vivi's gone, but everything that ever made Vivy special first came from the same thing as what now remains of her. Her choices are what made her appear special, and this Vivy has the potential to make her own choices as well.

I might be going a bit too deep here but I believe there is an underlying profound sadness throughout this show. It’s the passing of time, and Vivy’s journey through it despite the grief and realization it causes within her. As time passes on, we see how advanced AI and robots become, slowly gaining recognition and spotlight while humans slowly fade into the background, almost becoming second class citizen ironically. The saddest thing is that The Archive’s final decision to eliminate organic humans was not completely irrational and beyond its programming - eventually humans will become obsolete and halt necessary progress for mankind. But at the same time, humans retain redeeming qualities like emotion, creativity and humanity which machines lack. In this show, Vivy is the prime hybrid candidate blurring what it means to be a robot and, most importantly, a human.

Thinking about our real world, I believe that there may come a time, maybe not now or the near future, but eventually at some point where us humans must rapidly evolve and merge with AI or be left behind, either perishing by the hands of warfare or forgotten over the passage of time- both of which sound equally terrifying in my opinion.

It’s crazy how shows like this can make you think so deeply and give you a sense of existential dread regarding OUR own future.

Its definitely a bitter sweet ending. They saved humanity and vivy gets to live on in a way with Matsumoto. But the original vivy that came about over 100 years died, all those memories and what made her gone forever. This kinda scares me for re:zero. I'm gonna go ahead and say emilia dies and gets reborn on earth or something as the ending. Or maybe the whole rezero world gets erased and they all get reborn on earth.

It really hits hard when you think about what she said before she died
She said that her meaning of putting her heart on something, means singing with all the memories she ever created. But in the end, her memories were wiped away, died down, broken and disappeared.

- All Mastumoto's replicas ended up destroyed, the last one crashed against the last satellite.

If you guys look super carefully whenever the movie bar are on screen it’s the archive looking in at the situation 0:48 is when they start disappearing in a archive way and if you go back to anytime in the show with the movie bars it shows the archive was watching how everything was happening and making the timelines not change drastically

My thoughts on this ending:

Vivy accomplished her Project Singularity Mission. Remember when Professor Saeki asked her, "Is making everyone happy with your singing still your mission?". The answer to that is not anymore, Vivy knows that, she was given a new mission. She is now saving the world, but she still holds on to her original goal and convinces herself that if she accomplished Project Singularity, someday, people will be able to hear her song. Vivy could no longer sing but Osamu and his family loved her songs nonetheless. I believe this last part is not real, I believe it's a dream of some sort where Vivy could sing and make tons of people happy as what Momoka always wanted. This Vivy is the songstress with a mission to make people happy. This mission is what kept Vivy going, she wanted to sing for the audience, despite the knowledge that it's what she's programmed to do, she was able to make it her own purpose like a real human being. Remember, Osamu said he forced the 100 year Project singularity mission on her and it is something she wouldn't want, so this time, Vivy will forever sing in this "dream" with no worries, suffering or pain. The people outisde the window are definitely not from 2160, but the year 2060. She's inside a program without pain, I would say maybe she's connected her to a server of happy thoughts, but forever sleeps. I definitely think humans are still creating AIs in the real world, but different from the original way of how humans depended on AIs, maybe they have learned from their mistakes. The after scenes shows that there will always be humans who will be against AIs, but there will still be those who will be accepting of them, like the new Toak.

Her doing iconic ah ah ah ah tells even without memories at core she is the vivy we fell in love with short hair is a hint that who repaired(most likely toak cause only they would make Matsumoto her help ai) her didn't change a hair on her cause maybe her hair got burnt a bit during aftermath and they instead of changing it they just cut it short .

Despite the fact that the Vivi that we used to know died, it is still a happy ending I think. Vivi accomplished her mission, saved the world and gave hope to people, and we all know that future new Vivi will live happily.
Also we should denote the fact that the Vivi that we used to know also started off from blank zero. And she has probability to grow up as the somewhat similar to the Vivi that we used to know. This means that the new Vivi will still remain as waifu material and doesn't necessarily mean that she would differ a lot from the old Vivi. Infact, she will be the Vivi who didn't have to go through all those singularity project and without traumas and all those shits. So dont be depressed
