THE BEST PSVR GAMES WE NEED PORTING TO PSVR2!
Welcome to todays video on my essential list of PlayStation VR games that would be awesome remasters or ports for PlayStation VR2. PSVR1 games were designed to run on the first generation of the headset, which had lower resolution display and worked using light based tracking.
One of the main reasons why remastering PSVR1 games for the PSVR2 is essential is that the new headset features improved resolution and better tracking capabilities. The PSVR2 has a resolution of 2000 x 2040 pixels per eye, which is almost double that of the original PSVR. This increased resolution will make games look sharper and more detailed, enhancing the overall VR experience. The new headset also has four cameras for inside out tracking, which will provide better tracking and enable more precise movements. Remastering PSVR1 games for the PSVR2 would also allow developers to add new features and gameplay mechanics that were not possible on the original hardware. Remastering PSVR1 games for the PSVR2 could provide a cost-effective way for game developers to create new content.

Description: In this video, we discuss why remastering PSVR1 games for the upcoming PlayStation VR 2 (PSVR2) is essential to fully realize the potential of the new hardware. With improved resolution, tracking, and processing power, remastering older titles can enhance the VR experience and create more immersive gameplay. Additionally, remastering older games can provide a cost-effective way to develop new content and allow smaller studios to update their older games with new features.

One game is hugely lacking on this list. Star Wars Squadrons. This thing blew my mind on PSVR1 and I would love to see it on PSVR2.

I really want to see Iron man VR on the PSVR2. Imagine the haptics in the hands as you activate the thrusters and repulsors. Also the head haptics as the suit boots up etc. I just think it would be great 👌🏼

For the higher resolution, would buy many of these a second time for a "remastered" version of the game.

I would add Battlezone to this list. It was a fantastic game.

My favs from this video are Astro, Farpoint, RE7, Wipeout, Blood + Truth. Yeah, nearly all of it.

And yes, I agree with the demos. There's something magical about 'IMAX' style intros in VR as the veil lifts to showcase an amazing world! And it's nice to play around with different mechanics.

Fun video!

The Jewels of the last gen need that port. They cant get lost like that. They are pure joy. Astrobot is love. Squadrons would be a must have aswell.

Great list. I would add Star Wars: Squadrons and the Ace Combat 7 vr mode.

Also, the persistance, dirt rally, alien isolation, that mech fighting game I heard was good, and they should also bring over rec room

I'm usually not a fan of remasters, as I usually want new content, but being said I think Squadrons, Rush of Blood, RE7, and Blood and Truth should be remastered.
I didn't put Wipeout on the list because I believe we're going to get a new one. Also I believe Sony and Capcom are probably working on vr2 versions of all mainline RE games

Couldn't agree more. And Wipeout is SO underrated! We absolutely need ANY Wipeout game for PS VR2. Also, there are so many SEGA classics and IPs from the Dreamcast era that would just sell like hot cakes if adapted for VR. I have no idea where the hell they've been. So many Sega/Sonic kart racing games that would easily give Mario Kart a run for it's money too. It's bizarre.

My list of PSVR games I'd love to see remastered on PSVR 2:

- Here They Lie: Super unlikely this'll happen, as I don't think it sold very well, but this game is BRILLIANT imo. Might be my favourite PSVR game.
- Skyrim VR (or better yet, Oblivion remaster/VR port): Also unlikely considering it's owned by Microsoft, who isn't BFFs with Sony anymore. Still, my nearly 400 hours in Skyrim on PSVR says I want this to happen!
- Headmaster: A fun game with tons of charm, humor, and personality. Would be meaningfully enhanced by headset haptics and eye-tracking instead of head tracking for the menus.
- Hitman 1-3: Only played them briefly on PSVR 1. The graphics were stunning, but the controls sort of sucked. I didn't hear great things about the PC version, but this would be great on PSVR 2 with some refinement.
- Farpoint: I actually never got around to this one (never had an Aim), but I'd love a PSVR 2 remaster.
- Arashi Castles of Sin: Another I never got around to. Looks pretty awesome, but I'm sure the developers could enhance it in a bunch of ways on PSVR 2.

PSVR games I'd love to see get sequels on PSVR 2:
- Star Wars Squadrons
- Ace Combat 7 (with full VR support this time!)
- Wipeout
- Astrobot Rescue Mission
- Statik (Criminally underrated! They could do some amazing stuff with either the Dualsense or Sense controllers!)
- Superhot
- Rush VR
- Eagle Flight (without mandatory blinders this time!)
- The Room VR

Really good list. I feel Sony may stifle WipEout coming due to the revenue made on the only other proper vehicle game GT7. I know myself and many others would not bother with GT7 if WipEout came, WipEout however has no micro-transaction system so will make less money for Sony. And maybe even mean less money made from GT7 as time passes.

RE7 is one of my favourite flat screen games. I'm new VR, so after playing RE Village in VR, I think that would be a treat for us newcomers.

Resident Evil 7, Astro Bot, Borderlands 2, Skyrim, Farpoint, Until Dawn Rush of Blood, Blood and Truth, Super Hot, Sairento, Here They Lie, The Solus Projekt, Killing Floor vr, The Wanderer, Ace Combat 7, The Hitman Triology and Iron Man vr would be great for the Psvr2.

Your list is cool, especially Rush of Blood, Re7, and Wipe out. I would also like remasters of Roller Coaster Tycoon Joy Ride, and Star Wars Vader Immortal. Crazy Taxi Trilogy, Daytona USA 2, Dark Escape 4D, Planet Coaster, Park Beyond and Alien Isolation would also be fun in vr.

Great selection of games Gamertag!,
I too would love to see those games upgraded to PSVR2
and even pay again for titles!
All though I remember being hyped for RIGS upon launched and imagined all my family and friends playing online and having fun and then feeling ill after receiving I was more impressed with all included and available! to be dismayed.

Yes! Yes! Yes! All of these and there’s so many more games that were amazing on PSVR that need a PSVR 2 upgrade!

It’ll never happen, but Batman Arkham VR was such a fantastic experience. I’d love to see it enhanced for PSVR2.

Great video as usual GT!

I don't know if the captions are necessary though. You have a very clear, very nice, robust sounding voice already and it was just a distraction from my point of view.
