That celery trick is excellent, and the butter is genius! Not withstanding the soup may not be a cure, but hopefully, it warms your wife's heart. Thanks for sharing!

Howdy buddy, hope the wife makes a speedy recovery. So I watched this video then I watched your first video on the Dutch oven then this one again so im all caught up ( I missed the first one when it posted, sorry). Both videos were good. You talked a bit more about the oven in the first vs the 2nd video. I definitely agree all cooks should have at least one nice dutch oven. The enamel surface with a light interior is very important. No need to maintain a seasoned surface, they clean easier then bare cast iron and you can see the fond in the bottom. That said I doubt I'll ever own this brand or any of the other high end cast iron cookware. Not when I can get Lodge cookware at a fraction of the cost but basically all the same qualities as the expensive ones. I actually have a small enameled dutch oven I purchased several years ago that was made in China that works really well and is a pleasure to use because of it's size and weight ( I used it the first time I made beer brats using your idea of charring the vegetables before putting in the pot) As a side note Lodge opened a enamel facility in Pittsburgh Tennessee ( where their cast iron plant is) so they are now fully made in the USA. The current colors are, wait for it, Red, White and yes Blue. There are still a few pieces of their cookware that was enameled in China in some retail stores. So for people who get upset about things made in China they just have to look at what it says on the box. Im hoping Lodge will eventually do some Campfire Dutch Ovens with a enameled interior. That would be so awesome. Anyway so your going to need to do a baked bread video with that pot. And a ass kicking chili 🌶😮. Have a great day 🌤 👍
