Did you know that it is actually frowned upon to leave your car unattended while pumping gas?

Places I've worked at would stop your gas pump until you got back out to your car so you could watch it filling up. To make sure that the hose didn't pop out of your car and spill gas everywhere.

That is one reason a lot of gas stations still have employees pumping your gas for you.

I don't know exactly how you lost your campsite. However, what I do is pitch the cheapest Walmart tent when I leave my campsite. That way nobody can take it while I'm out running around. 👍

Cool rig, be careful cooking in trunk, A nice little cook set-up away from vehicle to avoid it catching fire and leaving you stranded while off-grid. Safe travels!

You should give Map quest a try when others fail. Also missy.. driving your Ru in 4th gear because it sticks in 5th is robbing your fuel economy and will do harm to the transmission. Its easier to fix that issue then to keep forcing RU's transmission to work harder. I know just throwing my 2 cents out there.

Ugh, Southern Oregon in Aug… 😝 Actually anywhere you go in Oregon and Washington in Aug is usually going to be hot. I hate the heat but I live in the NW so… what can ya do?
Oh don’t get me started on Google maps!! Google Maps have gotten people stuck on logging roads in deep snow in Oregon a few times. If google ever tells you to take a road in the winter that makes you go “whaaat?” DON’T TAKE IT!!

May I suggest a Garmin GPS. I've always had good luck with that and use my phone as a backup.

Omg I detest Google maps! I cant tell you how many times it let me waaayyy off course! I feel your frustration especially in this day and time! Mayb you should pre download the maps while you are online and have service cuz I bet when your phone hits a no service zone it screws up the map.

I’m so happy you got to see the stunningly beautiful Crater Lake on a beautiful clear day! I’ve been there 4 times in the last 5 years, and 3 of those times it was so smokey from wildfires you could barely see the lake! “In this economy!?!?” Haha

Next time you are in the PNW you should visit Hood River OR and go to Lost Lake area
