There was shocking news on Friday for hundreds of Houston ISD employees after they were told they'd be laid off at the end of the school year. FOX 26's Jonathan Mejia has more details on who will be impacted.

Houston has nine board members averaging $113, 000. That is just over a million a year. Any way to to rid of couple in order to save a few jobs? How about those trips? Do they truly need to go? Why is the lowest rung gets shafted? Not to mention the kids, because YOU KNOW things will go down hill fast and will cost tax payers even more.

My girl is a high ranking executive in HISD and she survived the cuts at the central office but said they were needed because there are too many people making good money who are lazy amd contribute very little.

My school district in Wa State got mad that the voters finally didn't approve a tax hike, so the teachers still got their raises but they cut all the after school sport programs. Public schools today are a complete joke.
