Have you ever wanted to know what states people say they would never move to? If you said yes this video is for you.
Every state has people moving in and moving out every day. Some of the more popular states see a lot of traffic in this respect.

In the United States, you can move to any state you want. Some people have to move to a state even if they don't want to. Work and family often land us places we never intended to be.
Today's list is based on a survey we did where we asked people to list 3 states they would never move to.
Some of the states on this list may surprise you. I know I was. Some states just have a bunch of Karens.

Moving to North Dakota from Norway for university in August. It's like you said, the winters are a major con. Other than that, I like the state more and more when learning about it. Grand Forks seems like a nice little town, and as a foreigner, I would argue that there is no where else than smaller midwest and southern towns where you will get the true feeling of America that I have been wanting to experience.

Well, that explains it. In 1978 I moved from the Jersey Shore to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and never looked back. When I retired in 2010 I opted to stay right here.

Great one Briggs! Really find these fascinating! Glad Mississippi didn't make it here (11th though). I grew up there but dont ever care to live there or south again. I did love living in NJ on Long Beach Island..Barnegat Light! Great people in NJ! Still have friends there.

Not surprised that NJ is #1. Been here since 1988 and can no longer afford to stay. Breaking out this year.

Alaska to me is like Hawaii, I would love to visit but would not want to live there for different reasons. My state of CA is beautiful but the politics get annoying. I’ve been looking at the Carolina coast but it seems like that state is getting pricey for homes. Good video.

I like being involved in the polls. It's fun to see how my opinion pans out with other's and see where we all land in the top 10. Good work Briggs! Love ya channels man!

I went to college in ND. You cant even, for a second, appreciate cold until you have been there. Yes, I know there are places on this globe with colder ambient my sophomore year I got to move to a nicer dorm with under ground tunnels to the dining hall when the worst I ever experienced. Day time high -47, overnight low -68. With the windchill it was off the chart. They closed campus for 2 days. The only state on this list I would have ever considered moving to is CA, but it is way too expensive! Great video Briggs!

As a lifelong resident of NJ I’m not surprised to see us atop the list. Half of my friend’s families have already moved out, and nearly all my friends plan on leaving too after graduating.
I will say there are some really underrated parts of NJ! And we have great pizza

Alaska is just fine *IF* you fully realize and and accept what you're getting yourself into. I was stationed at Eielson AFB near Fairbanks in the early-mid 80's and would have stayed if I hadn't been transferred. If I were to move back there it would probably be somewhere between Fairbanks and Anchorage in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.

Odd what different folks feel is important to them, based on this survey. I would move to NY in a heartbeat. I was born in Manhatten and for me that will always be Home. I do understand that new people coming in might see it differently.
Good video Briggs but then I expect nothing less from you..

Love all your videos. I'm surprise New Mexico didn't crack this top 10!

7:45 My best friend is a Louisianaian, she absolutely loves it there. I travel through the state a bunch whenever I'm going between Dallas and Atlanta, and yeah, it could be better off, no doubt about that, but the state has a really homely quality to it that surprisingly appeals to me, especially Baton Rouge. Like New Orleans, you just have to know where the good parts of Baton Rouge are and stay in those areas.

Great video again Mr.Briggs!, originally from Virginia, lived in Georgia, and now in Florida. From this list most of these states I wouldn’t move to like New York, New Jersey mostly for the fact that the winters are cold, I’m not crazy about snow, it’s expensive and overall those states just don’t appeal enough for me to want to live there.

I'm a 7th generation resident of the Hotel California and wouldn't check out even if I wanted to. The weather, the scenery, the creative freedom, the food and wine---it's just an amazing place to live.

I'm glad to hear NJ is #1! I could disagree with your assessment but that might encourage the rabble to move here. I consider the high taxes and high costs as the dues we pay for the exclusive club Nj is. Great schools, great healthcare, great services and a stimulating environment. The thing is you have some oomph to make it here. I've visited every state but North Dakota and the people in this country are wonderful, everywhere but New Jersey is home.

I’m surprised Illinois is not on the list. We lost about 75, 000 people last year I believe.

We moved to North Dakota from Arizona in 2019 and we are heading to El Paso in 2023! The winters here ARE brutal and many people find it a badge of honor to survive them, and I won't take that away from them at all but this Arizona girl misses the sun!
