You would never guess this is what a rhino sounds like..

These two baby white rhinoceroses, Kombe and Nyoni, were being taken care of by a wildlife veterinarian and his family in Hluhluwe, South Africa after their mother's were killed by poachers. They usually made these noises in anticipating their next milk feeding.

Something about large, broad animals especially perissodactyls (Rhinos, Horses and Tapirs) having such disproportionately squeaky and high pitched noises I find so freaking adorable and fascinating lol

Read somewhere that many zookeepers just love taking care of rhibos because of how gentle and smart they are, something you wouldn't notice at first glance. On the other hand, they loathe pandas because they're extremely high-maintenance but they mean big dollars for the zoo, so they keep them.
