This is a great list. I'd add anything that makes it easier to do the things they love to do. Example, if they love working out, but the gym is far away walk to, a bus pass is a great gift. Or a bike, to ride there. Etc.

Two of the best-received gifts I've given the men in my life were: An electric griddle on which you could make a full batch of pancakes or pound of bacon at once, with easy cleanup; and a certificate for a full-day woodworking class to make a cedar canoe paddle, which was a fatastic 60th birthday present (the class was several weeks after the birthday so I also got him a smaller gift to unwrap on the actual day). He still talks about that class! For a later gift I got him a hand-forged paddle display holder for the wall.

Wow your dog likes popcorn, when I had a dog she loved popcorn she would stand there waiting for me to toss her some lol and as soon as one fell she was one it. I love socks to. Great video guys my hubby doesn’t have everything but he has a lot and I was stuck.

I found your site when I was looking for recipes to fight cancer and I just got my vitamix e310 because you said it would be the best for your grandparents and I am old enough to be one! The one thing that you left out, that people from my dinosaur pre-tech generation love is books. I love recieivng books for gifts, although I know that is old fashioned.
