Here are some theories about this series

Theory 1: Sarah says the pills are “dangerous” because she’s the only one who remembers Ian using the powers. Not even Ian remembers, Yes, in Season 1, Chad and Ian both remember that Ian punched Chad, but when Ian did so, he had the time control power, and used it to get revenge on Chad without him knowing. So, they both know Ian punched Chad, but Ian doesn’t remember using the power to do so. The only thing he remembers about the powers are a few things. One, he remembers if they are useless or not. Two, he remembers that he got a superpower before. Other than that, he doesn’t remember really using them. Not once do we see Ian talk about the previous powers in an episode. And the worst part, every power has a downside. When he had the power of Alter Ego’s, it technically ruined his life until the end of Season 2. When he had the power of water, he accidentally destroyed Sarah’s laptop. When he used the power of lightning, he accidentally exploded Sarah’s phone. When he had the power of time control, he disrupted the timeline. When he had the power of reading peoples thoughts, he discovered the truth. But it was too late.

Theory 2: Whenever Ian finishes with meeting up with Sarah in each episode, that episode ends. This actually gives a sign that Sarah isn’t what she seems, which we discover at the very end of Season 2. This means Sarah might have multiple powers. One, she has the power to turn any object magical. This explains how each pill Ian takes gives him a superpower. Two, she has the power to shapeshift. This explains how she switches from human to her true form. Three, she doesn’t forget anything. This explains how although Ian forgets about what he does with his powers after the episode ends, Sarah remembers. Four, she can fast forward time. This explains how each episode ends after Ian meets with Sarah.

So yeah, those are my theories for this series. Maybe in Season 3 (if there is one), Ian will learn more. It’s a really interesting concept.
