Cacti Hallway nohit Outer Wilds

In this video, I passed through the Cacti Hallway guarding the warp pad to the Sun Station in Outer Wilds without puncturing my suit or otherwise getting caught on a Cactus.

This is NOT the intended way to pass through the Cacti Hallway, in this loop I simply ran out of time to pass through regularly and decided to wing it.

I thought this was the intended way at first so I tried it like a dozen times until I finally succeeded (and figured it out much later lol).

I like how sun station has 3 ways you can enter it.
1: ship manually
2: using the sand in the tower
3: flying over 🌵 manually
This game gives you so much freedom

I managed to do this accidentally ONCE and never again. I only knew barely enough to understand that that building would probably take me to the sun station. I YOLOed really hard because the loop was about to end and I really wanted to get there, so I guess the adrenaline or something kicked in and I did it damageless. I know for a fact that I only managed to do it because of some anime pressure bullshit because I never managed to pull this off again lmaao

I did that perfectly and very quickly on my first try, decided it was easy and that was the way to do it and then proceeded to die a bunch of times trying to do it again when my dumb luck ran out on the next loop

To get to the Sun Station, you can either:
1. Git Gud
2. Git Gud
3. Be there early, but still a pretty cool sequence

Never managed to do it again, but both me and my friend watching me were like "holy shit, that just happened...!?"

Didn't actually take the teleporter cuz the station was already consumed, I was just checking out the various teleporters (I'd already done the other method of Sun Station, after way too many attempts...)

To add injury to insult, the final time the warp pad points at the sun during a loop, is five seconds* before the Sun Station is eaten. So you can get there way later than intended by damageless-running the Hall of Cacti, and your reward is to warp and immediately be crispy roast Hearthian.

*(i don't know if this actually is the timing alignment of the ash twin towers, but wouldn't it be funny if it was)

After my first failed attempt I got it down enough to do this with only a poke or two (never learned the correct way of doing it until after finishing the game) and damn is it hard to precisely lower your height without going too low
