Kinda sad that i found out that PR Samurai is very hated.. It actually holds a special place in my heart cuz it was the first series i watched and was the reason why i got into power rangers, don't judge me- we all grew up with different series of power rangers shows and we all feel different towards it

Sometime I admit US have some good Henshin scene but bruh they made PR Samurai look like the Ninja with the outfit in the transform scene and having a mask inside of the helmet must be really uncomfortable. Shinkenger forever

I prefer Shinkenger but the sword part where they catch it is pretty badass

Usually I’m the one to say “don’t be too harsh on the PR counterpart” but this one was just bad. PR Samurai/Saban had one job, and it was to create a Japanese samurai storyline. Disappointed that they didn’t cast ANY Japanese/Japanese American actors for the roles. Jayden is supposed to be Japanese even his last name is “Shiba” and he’s just a white actor playing a japanese character. They should’ve at least casted a Japanese red ranger. While I do understand Samurai was quite popular among kids back in the day and it introduced a new generation to Power Rangers. If you’re one of those kids that is grown up now, do yourself a favor, watch Shinkenger. It’s 10x better!

Most of the time, I prefer PR henshin over the Japanese ones. But this is one of the few instances where I prefer the Japanese ones. Really embraces the Samurai motif.

They could've least hired Asian or half-asian actors for the role of jayden and Lauren. Like none of the actors are Japanese (mia's character is complete Japanese, and others are mixed-race, since her surname is 'Watanabe' but her actress is Chinese. Well, at least an east-asian).
They look like ninjas more. And the thing that the monsters are attacking outside Japan just for 'samurai-s' to protect the people and yeah the fact that an ancient Japanese house popped out of nowhere in a separate country for the samurai leader to live and make it their base is believable (WHY?!).

They turned mojikara into 'Samurai symbols' for them to be like "I can't tolerate water cuz I am a fire samurai (just an imagination)"

Shinkenger is one of the greatest Sentra seasons ever
The characters the villains the action the mecha the suits and the opening are all impracticable

And then samurai is just the goofiest thing ever that I’m so nostalgic over that I can’t help but laugh 💀

Samurai was my first power rangers series I can remember watching properly anyway but I have to say shinkenger is better tho as it's the original

Samurai was my childhood, but Shinkenger is obviously the better series with a more fitting morph.

For me...the good thing in samurai was when they have another suit when entered the zords(Plus the sword mechanism...looks sick).

And that's the last PR i've ever watched till it's end...oh not to mention Decker's role and his rivalry with Jayden really nice

I’m currently watching Shinkenger now and although PR Samurai and Shinkenger have a few similarities (Shiba Clan, Dyuu, Sanzu River threat) Shinkenger is better because it’s original. PR Samurai looks like a bunch of American actors are trying their best to live in Japanese culture and they are far from it .

Shinkenger was my first bit exposure to super sentai cause when I was younger and looking up pr samurai clips on YouTube I stumbled upon a shinkenger clip and was completely confused because I didn’t know anything about super sentai at the time and didn’t know what to think of it, now I’ve seen shinkenger and can say with confidence that it’s better than samurai imo
