As I look at my Playlist there is an abundance of Railroad songs. Boxcar Willie, Jimmy Rogers, Woodie Guthrie, Hank Snow, Johnny Cash. My Dad was a signal maintainer and my Grandpa was a Brakeman and an oiler on the Great Northern. My other Grandpa use to hire hobos on his threshing crew in the Red River Valley of the North.

So sad to see so many faces in these clips are gone now, even more depressing to know the likes of such talent is gone forever as the overwhelming majority of today's musicians are a flash in the pan compared to decades of honest living careers!!

A truly beautiful song. Willie was one of the greats. In this video, he had a blank look in his eyes. I'm sure he does not feel good here. RIP Boxcar Willie.
