My new wife and I sat side-by-side and played MYST together. In June, we will celebrate our 23th anniversary, and will sit side-by-side again and play RIVEN together. Our anniversary, coincidentally, is on June 25th.

Seeing that title card at the end made me reflect.. Imagine saying to my 1997 self that in the future, Riven could be run in real time, by an engine developed for a FPS game that would come out 6 months later.

Man, high key going to miss the old FMV cutscenes. John Keston's performance is so iconic.

To be honest, I was really hoping that you'd be able to salvage the old live-action footage by some miracle, but I have to admit that the new model of Gehn doesn't look anywhere near as jarring as I'd feared. And the need to switch to 3D models is a perfectly understandable compromise.

Couldn't be happier with everything else we've seen so far though! Huge congratulations and thank you to both the original Riven team and everyone who's worked on the remake!

Ever since I was a literal child, I wanted to ride the tram transportation in Riven, now I can do it in VR, hopefully uncompromised in terms of speed and turning, I can handle the motion sickness.

Really surprised to see this! This game was a heavy influence in my professional life. I later went on to become a digital matte painter and worked with some of the old matte world digital folks. Riven was a world that really captured my imagination. Hope this brings a whole new audience to the world. Best wishes to Cyan.
