The Netflix Series "My Happy Marriage" starts streaming worldwide from July 5, 2023!

Written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, the massively popular Japanese-style romance light novel "My Happy Marriage" is published by Kadokawa on its Fujimi L Bunko imprint and has also been adapted into a manga by Rito Kohsaka. The series' popularity continues to rise, having garnered a massive buzz upon its release and selling 6.5 million copies to date. It also won several awards, including the Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics award of 2021 as well as BookLive's digital manga award. In addition to the animated version, a live-action film version is also in the works for this highly anticipated story.

I love how in these fictional love stories the main characters have these miserable childhoods but the only consequences are making them more adoring waifus and never the negative personality traits that can develops as a survival mechanism.

As always, Netflix puts far too much in the trailer. That aside, I'm glad they're finally backing more historical and josei-type anime. Buckle in kids, this series is gorgeous to look at but the story is a heartbreaker at many points

I cant wait for this anime, me and the main character are so relatable, both of us dont know what happiness is, living a miserable life, where everyone hated you, treated you like craps, but sadly for me I could never find anyone that truly cared for me, still I want to watch this anime. I just want to see the main characters have a happy life.😊

This show is like the Japanese version of Beauty & The Beast.

Miyo marries into her new family not due to want, but because it was ordered and she had to, not because she wanted to. This is similar to when Belle had to stay with the Beast because she had to, not because she wanted to.

She heard Kudo was ruthless and unkind, much like how Belle thought the Beast was ruthless and unkind.

But it turned out Kudo cared deeply for Miyo, as the Beast did for Belle.

Also, both shows have magic in them, as Miyo and Kudo come from spiritual families and there is magic and curses in Beauty & The Beast.
