Here's how we used to record gigs before the advent of accessible digital for the masses! A show I mixed at Bradford Alhambra Studio back in 2001 with a guy called Ro Wayne, the mix is a bit rough as it's a straight left and right out of the mixing desk (which was probably an original Soundcraft Series 4) but it's an interesting bit of what is now almost an unthinkable way of doing things.

Compact cassette isn't a format remembered for it's quality which is a shame, with a decent deck and high quality tape it had the ability to sound remarkably good. Audio recorded directly out of the deck and into my Canon 5Dmk2 DSLR.
