This pattern is perfect for use w/horizontal or diagonal prints by placing 2 pattern pieces on top of 2 layers of fabric (like a sarong cut in half on width). The fabric fold over cutting method distorts directional print patterns making it look funny as well as an obvious indication of beginner sewing skills & still in progress use of patterns ...
This pattern can be used for a wrap skirt & all 4 types of circle skirt: full, quarter, 3 quarter & half ...
You will never see expensive clothing w/prints in the wrong direction. Inexpensive clothing is more apt to be scrapped together w/leftover pieces sewn in every direction ...
Great tip w/pen & measuring tape!
The ability to use one's brain to think independently is a learned & valuable skill great for use in expanding thoughts & ideas when viewing tutorials as well as answering one's own "duh" questions to prevent posting unsolicited & unhelpful criticisms ...

You're tutorials are fabulous. I see you're doing a men's bodice next - quite excited about that one. I was wondering if after that you could do a basic pants (mens and womens) pattern next? :) Keep up the fabulous work!

Can you please do some videos with you using the patterns to cut and make the items that you are using. Also can you show us using how you put in the zipper. I personally would like to know why it takes 3 cms to put in a zipper. Thank you very much for all of your pattern making videos.

You say (D/4) + 1.38" = Waist Width (Ww). Then you say D/6.28 = Waist X (Wx), Is that supposed to be Ww/6.28 = Wx? Confused

Black Diamond DIY Fashion Hi there! I'm making a full circle skirt but it's damask pattern and I was worried one cutting it up it won't match up after! Is ther a way to cut the circle skirt in one go?

How would you make a circle skirt pattern for a floor length skirt? When fabric is folded in half or in fours one side is long enough but the other side is always shorter.
