Yes, entertainment is important, too. I have some board games, cards, etc. But one thing I do every once in a while is go to the Salvation Army. I can buy really nice hard cover books for $2-$3. I certainly don't invest in new hard cover books for myself, unless it is a reference book. But there are people who go buy new books every time their favorite author puts one out. I have a small but growing stockpile of books.
I used to knit, and do applique, embroidery, but now my hands are too stiff to do much of that. My quilting is on electric machines. I should look into a treadle machine, because mending clothes will be important if/when the grid goes down.

I would be fine without internet. I don’t have FB, instagram or X. My bills get paid online like everyone else. But as far as entertainment, I stick with YT or Netflix. But you can take that, I have over 50 books. More than half I haven’t read just yet, the ones I have read I enjoyed. No internet would really help me get better with my Bible.

Glen Beck just got back from helping in TN. He said retired Special Forces people have bern there for 7 days.. THEY are running things....they are used to this stuff and know how to fix things!!! They have driven from all over the country!! They've said "we knew it'd be a sh*t show!!!

I suggest watching as many 'on the ground' videos of the hurricane disaster. Listen to what, where, and how disaster affected even the prepared.
Think it through as if you were there with what you have right now. It will open your eyes.

It does no good to have a stockpile of supplies and grid-down gadgets, if you don't routinely practice using them.

My wife and I have been prepping for over 20 years. We are as set as we can get. Yard sailing for preps is our fun time hobby now. One thing we did for the lil ones is get multiple portable DVD players and we kept every DVD from our daughters growing up plus my wife and I's collection. I inherited my dads extensive collection as well and now have over 2000 DVDs

In regards to vehicles that die during a EMP attack: you disconnect the positive connection on the battery, wait 5 minutes and then reconnect and it should reboot and run just fine.

Root cellar complete. Simple Pump installed in the well. Chickens and orchard doing well. 15 cord of firewood put up. We burn 4 ish per year. We will complete 1 more before the snow hits. We are getting the neighbor up on firewood now. He will have 5 this year.
Everyone in the group is moving forward nicely.
The election will be interesting……

This is why i am downloading lots of how-to videos of which i have been doing for the last 10 years with 3 I will be using those videos for a reminder for myself also teaching people when the world needs putting back together as i am not repeating myself 300 time lol as i will have more important things to think about and work

People should get into fasting, you feel amazing mental clarity, connected to the spiritual realm, old health problems go away (can be painful with getting rid of old calcifications in my back, headaches, stomachache. Getting rid of mucus when I fasted 5 days for a sinus infection wasn't painful). You can live on maybe 200 calories a day and have a ton of energy if you're in the right frame of mind that is. Can fast totally on water for over 40 days. Our world is so toxic, we'll have less energy while fasting but that means it's all the more important to do to avoid cancer and all those other health problems. And not be eating tons of food, enjoy your food way more, better mental and physical health
