WATCH LIVE: Health officials give update on Washington's COVID-19 response

Officials with the Washington State Department of Health are expected to provide an update on the state’s COIVD-19 response during a noon press conference Wednesday.

The press conference comes a day after the first people in Washington state were injected with the COVID-19 vaccine. In the group of firsts were 13 doctors, nurses, first responders and other healthcare employees.

Military members at Joint Base Lewis-McChord started receiving COVID-19 vaccines Wednesday.

I don't understand how y'all project the cases dropping when we're in the middle of a record spike and holidays are ongoing. I think our spike will keep spiking. We aren't treating it like an emergency that it is. :(
