So on one of the Apollo training missions 3 astronauts were in a simulation and during it a fire started due to some malfunction somewhere, and when they said something and tried to get out the door was stuck and by the time they got it open all three were cooked alive like a nice smoked brisket, it was a horrific accident especially to those on the outside

So in January of 1967, Gus Grissom, Roger Chaffee, and Ed White where testing a shuttle at the Cape Kennedy Air Force station launch center, however while doing it, an electrical short, due to the choice of telfon as the covering for the wiring within the space capsule caused a oxygen spark that caused a fire. On the radio, One of them, most likely Chaffee said “I smell fire, ” then seconds later a fire became bigger.
“FIRE IN THE COCKPIT” said White in a more instant voice.
“We’ve GOT A BAD FIRE!” said Chaffee.
“LETS GET OUT! WE ARE BURNING UP! said Chaffee.
Many of the ground crew ran to try and save them but it was to late, they had already died, on the third slide it shows one of there bodies.
RIP all of them.

For those who don't know when the astronauts were in the shuttle and the shuttle was oxygen rich so many of you think that's a good thing but if you know anything about oxygen its very flammable so when it was time to launch there was a spark in the shuttle so the astronauts burned alive by the way they could not open the door of the space shuttle because of the air pressure inside
