Misleading, nowhere in this video did you explain how you maintain your afro.

I'm about to start weekly gigging at a pub, and I always come back to this video whenever I feel a sense of nerves or anxiety. Cheers Bea. You've got me ready to live out the dream! :)

Dear Rabea, you are a true gentleman and a great musician, but your true worth is that you really are a caring and loving human being... thanks for the chance to get to know you through your videos, if you ever are around southamerica, Chile in particular, then do please tell me so... I'm looking forward to taking your guitar course... I have my band, which I invite you to hear on soundcloud jorgerojas45 is my page there... It's nothing like what you play or write, but I would love your opinion anyway... good luck luck with all your bands, and hope to hear from you...

BEA... You are THE MAN. I wish the whole lot of us approached the craft the same way as you do. For sure, i wish i did.

You young man (I can call you that because I'm old).. are an inspiration.. you are humble.. appreciative and respectful.... I've watched this video a couple times now and have learned new things that help me greatly.. that bit about how to build a song from the chorus is brilliant.. I enjoy your music and you personally.. be well

Bea, you're such a stand-up guy. Thanks for your thoughts - particularly on songwriting and how to think through tone and the roles different instruments play - very helpful. Rock on!

Yeah man, i did.... it was taking off, but Dave and i felt that we were spending are time and energy in the wrong project. plus the music wasn't as much something we enjoyed as opposed to our own musical ventures.

i like writing and performing my own music, not someone elses as such

Nice work Bea, I like that it is more about being professional in your approach instead of a how to be a "pro". Keep it up!

hey man, Rob wrote the Aeromancy riff :-)

basically i get songs going a lot, and so the guys just go with it, the majority of Dorje's material has been written by me, but there are some songs that have been written by all of us :-)

Just to address the "stressing about not making it" point, I think if you're in it for the right reasons, the path getting there, the process should be enjoyable, too. If not, try and work out why.

From a song writing perspective: record riffs/ideas then and there - on camera if possible. Not only does this stop you from forgetting it hours later, but you and the other members can all listen to it when they get home and develop on it in a way they may not be able to in a jam.

Great vid, Bea :)

You can most certainly use a normal effects pedal through modelling amp. The amp is designed to treat the signal coming through it in the same way the actual amps would. ie. any pedal should sound roughly the same as they would on the amp that's being modelled.

I have a Vypyr 30, as well.. :)

14:10 its even better if you keep fretting the previous notes on previous strings... and move up note by note. it helps a lot
