This was actually my favorite scene of all the movies because it was shot exactly the way I pictured it as I was reading, especially Pollux and how lovable he is.

i just realized the birds immediately start mimicking katniss, when she starts singing. its really subtle, but also reflective of the people of the rebellion, who follow her, no questions asked.

Fun fact: in the book, it says the song is actually forbidden, and that one time Katniss’ father was singing it to them, and Prim was making ‘necklaces of rope’ for them. Then Katniss’s mother came outside, and started yelling. That scared Katniss, because her mother barley yelled.
