Anyone complaining why Mr Patra wasn’t seen on TV for so long, here’s why.

BJP, in 2019, made a list of all those seats where BJP candidates came second. And all the contestants who lost were given the badge of “pravasi MP”.

They were given as much time and relevance as the ones who won and were asked to spend the whole 5 years to work on their seats as if they were the sitting MPs.

There were 70 odd such seats.

Now you know why BJP says abki baar 370 BJP paar? These 70 odd Pravasi MPs are the ones BJP is banking on.

That’s how you play politics. Not like Congress where when RaGa lost Amethi, he never visited Amethi again.

This actually started in 2014 when Smriti Irani lost in Amethi. She was made Pravasi MP and she spent 5 years in Amethi to ensure BJP takes that seat in 2019.
