I'm comming to realize that the Jewish "pure/strict monotheism" is a much more recent innovation, likely in response to the spread of Christianity.
For once, the OT has this figure of Angel of the Lord, that on one hand is treated like God himself, but is also somewhat separate. By the end of Genesis, Abraham is visited by three angels, that seem pretty equal to God. They're treated as Lord by Abraham, and manifest Gods' omniscience and omnipotence.

The Aramaic targums are interpretive " translations" of the Hebrew scriptures from before the time of Christ, and they commonly inserted this type of theology into into parts of scripture to help aid in understanding. I believe John was explicitly referring to the targums in the first chapter of his gospel.

In Kabbalah there are 10 emanations of God that represent a much more plural idea of God than the trinity, though not quite the same.
