Corrections:
11:48 Typical pronunciation is not 'ushiro', but 'ushi[ro]'. So when it is written in Kanji & Hiragana, it needs to be written 後ろ, not just 後 for 'ushiro'.

It is difficult for me to learn Japanese Kanji because I spent several years learning all of these as Chinese characters. My brain immediately sees the pictorial meaning then pronounces them in Chinese first. The meaning of the symbols is the same, but the word is different.
