Matt, as an Audio Mastering Engineer, I know a thing or two about what's bullshit and what's talent. I just noticed this video after you laying it down 6 years ago. Sorry about that, but I was a busy guy, and now retired. Your chops are exceptional, and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. I've also been classically trained since I was 5 years old on the piano, and could be compared to Jordan Rudess, since I'm highly partial to progressive rock material. I toured across the US for three years from 1980 to 1983 in a highly regarded rock band, after graduating from MIT with a double masters engineering degree. Then back into 'think tank' work, while running live FOH sound at large venues and eventually the mastering studio I opened. I sincerely believe you are the real deal. Hopefully have have made the connections required to advance your career in music. It's a cutthroat business, but I believe you have the chops, look, attitude, and overall skills to make a great career for yourself.
