As a protestant christian, I can fully affirm Mary as the God bearer. This isn't something that should be disputable.

Please stop referencing Christ Church as the Roman Catholic church. Just call it the Catholic church, the roman church isnt the only catholic church, as you know theirs plenty of eastern Catholic churches in communion with Rome.

You left out the chritotokos (Christ -bearer) part of the controversy, which gave rise to theotokos "God-bearer" designation. It helps to include more context.
