one of the only few vids i could find sporting a window manager on x230! this was very insightful. thank you!

You can add a piece of cardboard to push the two layers of pins together. If you added masking tape or something to prevent some pins shorting, the rest of them may not be in contact perfectly. Adding a thin bit of cardboard or something then screwing it back together should get the trackpoint buttons working.

Thanks for trying out Linux on the x230! Hope you have a great time learning.
Could you share your configs? I would advise vscode for anything coding, and maybe switch to a lighter distribution of Linux.
