Edited: Don't remove 2 fastboot lines at the top (MIUI V12.0.1.0) and shorten the directory path.

omg thanks so much <3. Im also not good in ENglish but this was great. After i made this step i got another issure (no such file or dictonary" i just needed to remove the sace in the pat and make it to a underline. then i also changed the path in the tool and now it is working :D

Untuk pengguna indo. Menurut pengalaman saya, untuk versi 12.0.1 (mi10, ngga tau kalo yang lain)
JANGAN MENGHAPUS DUA LINE "FASTBOOT" DI ATAS notif rollback, jadi cukup menghapus bagian yang di jelaskan di video nya saja.

Dan jika masih error "directory file", coba pindah kan ke root folder pertama ( C/D/E - folder flash).

wow it worked for me! i have downgraded & relocked bootloader from miui 20.0.4 to miui 11.0.5 by this method after doing as you said miflashtool gave another error then i copied flash files to c drive and flashtool worked without any error. to avoid brick make sure that your rom variant are same, for example i have flashed miui 12 global beta update so i can only flash only miui 11 global stable via fastboot, but you select different variant set will be bricked. so first flash same variant via twrp then flash via fastboot. my phone is redmi note 8 pro global edition.

i didn't the same thing but learned something : i was trying to flash gzip file of the rom
i unzipped it to have the same folders as you and finally managed to flash it
