Hey Greg...Since the logs are full of beetles I wouldn't tend to store the cut wood either IN or TOO NEAR the house.

Just dropping a line to say I love the growth you two have achieved! Both on the homestead and the growth of your channel. I remember commenting not too long ago about Greg doing construction work in his sandals back when this channel was tiny. I liked you guys from the beginning and knew you would do well! Keep on truckin'!

For the woodshed i would choose one of the „highest“ points of your property where the moisture/water always stays away of the wood, where good ventilation is possible and where the sun can dry it.

get a box blade for road grading. it's what I use on our gravel road. it'll scrape off the high spots and fill in the low spots.

I don’t know if you read comments from older videos but if you do research a timber hitch. Easy to tie and easy to undo, it’s intended for this kind of work.

The Outsider uses a dolly on the back of the log and lifts the front with the three point hitch. Also get some plastic tree felling wedges. Save your used motor oil for chain bar oil.😁

To fix the road I suggest to fill it with dirt and compact it firmly. Then reclaim old carpets and set them on the road. Once done, pour your gravel on the carpets and compact it down. This way, the mud wont go anywhere and your gravel wont sink.

I think you coulf check out something called a "log hauling arc" they sell them online or you can make your own I saw them before but didnt know what they were called in your case where you need to haul fallen trees in ur forrest fairly easily with a tractor or atv pretty useful looking tool. N yes I know ur on a budget but its a good idea to check this out as in "work smarter not harder". As well as a "log lifter made from a farm jack" oh ya pretty slick tool I think you will agree and the light will go off in your head? as in we should HAVE DONE THIS A LONG TIME AGO. Its perfect when your working by yourself in difficult situations come up.

You guys are working hard, but are also blessed with the beautiful scenery around.

I noticed you used the ABS pipe for vents. With a metal roof and a lot of frozen snow slipping when it starts thawing it will snap those off. I had to make some diverters after mine snapped off. 😏🙂

Operating saw with one hand is not the best idea. Also on your big saw i would run a much shorter bar unless you have giant trees. You will have lots more power with a shorter bar and will be easier to handle! Stay safe!

would you like some advice?. when u get your saw pinched like that u can do two things. ur first option witch is to pop a wedge in their and open your cut up. or ur second option is to do what's known as a relief cut witch is to put a second cut beside ur first one witch then releases the compression in the log and should free up ur saw
