Woodshop one piece flow update for cabinet box assembly - lean improvement

Показать описание
The woodshop is trying to improve on movement waste. In an effort to do that they're moving to one piece flow. These rollers (purchased used locally) have been added with simple 2x4 bases. This will help improve the flow and remove movement waste.

This improvement was mentioned in the woodshop lean tour, so make sure you watch that so you can see what it looked like before.

Really great improvement. Remember sorting is a non-value added activity. Stacking is a non-value added activity. Searching is a non-value added activity. There are some ways that some of this can be eliminated. Give me a call if you want to discuss it.

I am finding the best way to assembly the cabinet so I am wondering what is your regular assembly fitting? Is the red one that been install to the edge of the wood is minifix?

Great work. What kind of trailers do you use? Can we get a video on that.

I watched your 50+ plus min video yesterday, very impressive operation you have. I also try to use lean thinking and processes in my concrete lifting business. I love Paul Akers books too. Quick question, what kind of table is that at the 1:08 mark in this video? The blue one that has adjustable height?
