Just got a new iPhone SE today and my mom is giving me her old iPad Pro so I can either use the iPad Pro or the old iPhone as a remote. I will probably use the old iPhone as a 2nd camera angle so the iPad Pro with the huge screen will make a good remote. Thank you for the excellent breakdown of the app and how to use it! Audio problems with Filmic pro are all too common on every device we have tried, including iPad Pro 3rd and 4th gen, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and Samsung Note 8. The app’s audio architecture is horribly out of date and causes the app to lose entire videos as it crashes. Poor support and poor documentation for audio issues compound the software defects. Camera sensor selection for iPad Pro 4th gen and Samsung Note8 are also buggy. We are moving on to other apps. The app is horrible when you need great audio that’s solid all the time for live events.

after a good 4 years or so. thanks to your review I'm planning to get the app. i was not convinced a few years ago. but defo a good option to also save money. I never knew the recording bit rate could ever be changed.

Are there cheaper apps out there that allow you to record video at higher bitrates than Apple’s standard? That and being able to lock exposure while having autofocus enabled are the main features I care about. If not, I’ll bite the bullet and get Filmic Pro.
