Residents shaken up after standoff, shooting at Dallas apartment complex

People living in an apartment building near Downtown Dallas are still shaken up days after they say dozens of shots were fired in their building.

We saw this whole situation which started about 11 pm play out, It was scary, you couldn’t get to your apartment, so many police cars blocking entrances. We saw police running with huge guns and shields and to this day the office has not sent a letter or email or ANYTHING informing residents of what happened. These apartments are TRASH!!!! My mom lives here. Looks are very….VERY deceiving! They are really nice on the inside very modern and updated. Beautiful I must admit. But when I tell you you are basically in the HOOD……THA GHETTO HONEY, I KID YOU NOT!! Thugs and hot girls walking through apartments all hours of the night, loud talking in the hall ways. Homeless peop constantly laying in the halls sleeping in the stairwells. We’ve seen human feces from homeless peop in the stairwell. Drug dealing, you can’t walk through the apartment without someone trying to offer you or asking if you need to purchase “gas” We’ve heard gunshots prior to this incident, my mom had to call 911 in the middle of the night because she said the sound was so close that she called her neighbor to check on him. She’s experienced homeless peop running through the halls turning on door knobs trying to enter random apartments(caught on her ring camera)The management never answer the phones, they do not fix things and another huge issue is if you are a guest or visitor you must, I repeat, you MUST NOT FORGET TO REGISTER YOUR CAR OR THEY WILL TOW YOU. I suggest registering before you get out of your car because you can park and by the time you get inside the residence you are visiting to register your vehicle, the tow truck has already scooped your ride up! There are lots of car break ins here, drug trafficking, gates stay broken and management is just sorry….lazy inconsiderate. It’s a horrible place to live. My mom, who moved in at the end of 2022, regrets every min of being here and can’t wait to move when her lease is up. I can’t say this enough, please beware, looks are deceiving, this place is TRASH! I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET what’s even more crazy is police headquarters are right next door. As a single older woman, my mom doesn’t feel safe which is why I’m constantly coming over to check on her even sometimes having to be on the phone with her while she walks to garage to leave for work. So glad this video was posted, and as the young lady stated, to this day which exactly a week later, still no communication from management
