You almost knocked me off my chair when you said you have been building your practice for only 20 months! The way you carry yourself, explain your thoughts, explain your procedures and your entire processes, I would have thought in terms of years not months. Thank you for your service in the military and currently as one of the most patient focused surgeons I have seen. I agree, staying calm and tackling one problem at a time. Focus on each outcome and NEVER take advantage of down time unless it is scheduled 😉 You are truly an inspiration and a brave man to open up as honestly as you do on social media.

Hey Doc, I’ve been following your channel for years and I just wanted to say thanks. I spent 11 years as a medic in the military and just submitted my med school application on Friday. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm a 20 year Air Force Vet and your points are what I tell everyone about being in the military. At a much younger age than civilian life, you learn structure, leadership, responsibility and accountability. Excellent traits to be a success in life. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I loved hearing “and that’s exactly what i did.” Powerful moment, a grown moment of Black boy joy. You had a vision, you committed to it, and despite having to work twice as hard… You DID it. Bad ass, man. You were destined to be a role model from the start.

Its my first time watching your video. I’ve been thinking the same way. I’ve been working at hospital for 4 years now at 25, I feel stuck. I think the military will give me more structure especially not having to work 50 hrs a week night shift. Ill finish my undergraduate during my 4 years of active duty and have the gi bill help pay for my medical school while also paying for my living expenses so im not so stressed out. Thank you for what you do I’m excited for my journey and hard work to come 🤗

Ah...Real-time resiliency in action. MRT is definitely more useful than we think. I'm following this exact track now. Thanks, Dr. Webb

I was curious about how that plan goes, I decided to watch medical school interviews to help with my own presentation of self and it is a common pathway to becoming a doctor, so this video was nice to see while it was on my mind!

Great video! I’m about to retire after 20 years as a medic. I’m trying to go medical school once I get out.

Hey Dr Webb! I’m a huge fan! I’m looking at going medical in the Army right now. Out of curiosity, what was your MOS while you were in? I’m trying to choose the best course of action so that I can take a similar path to what you did, and if I’m lucky get into orthopedic spine surgery myself. Hopefully you see this! Thank you!
