I explore the atmospheric Luxulyan Valley deep in Cornwall, and uncover an unusual dual viaduct and aqueduct, which once carried a tramway and a vital water leat to power quarries and mines in Mid-Cornwall.

Hi Paul, that viaduct looked very impressive, I hope they keep with the upkeep of it in future as it fits in so well with the landscape too 😊 great video buddy

Hello Paul - greetings from Poland.
What a fantastic video. I loved the opening sequence with wonderful still photographs and some really spooky music!
A brilliant piece of engineering built 188 years ago. I'm very lucky - this is my second visit. Ron from Parkinson's Walks came here too and explored the whole valley. And to think, the engineers and stonemasons that built this structure, didn't have the use of the machines or technology that we have today. Brilliant! Thanks so much

Now, we loved your intro. That looks like a method of flow control 🤔 What a great location. Your little videos are very informative. Where we just turn up and film. You have some wonderful footage. All our videos are like time capsules. Keep up the good work Paul 🙏👍

Fascinating video - brought back memories of just one day when I 'discovered' this wonderful valley. Wonderful, because much of the large structures remain which is unusual compared with other areas where most of the evidence of the industrial works have been removed. What I found magical was the way nature has clothed the remains but not destroyed them. So on a short visit I saw several rare flowers an in a mine there were many greater horseshoe bats. So Paul, please do go back there as you suggested and make a second video because, guess what, many of the subjects you cover are covered by others, but I cannot find others covering this forgotten valley.

Thanks for posting this, really interesting. I can remember when the streams, including the one across the aqueduct, were flowing and quite a number of them were white with china clay, possibly there were actually used for transporting the clay. Treffry Viaduct was used as a film set in Omen III, as was Roche Rock which is not far away.

Another interesting video Paul, just think what it would cost to build this as a film set.
