AJAX Contact Form Tutorial #2: Add cover background, setup ajax request

This is a simple contact form that let others send you an email through a web platform.
What is used: HTML, CSS, AJAX, PHP.
Workspace: Cloud9

Hi guys, because the code in this project was quite old (Bootstrap already have v.4 and in these videos I am using v.3), so I updated my code but not yet releasing any video about the changes.
Here are things that now different than the code mentioned in this video series:
- Some Bootstrap classes no longer work if you use v.4, for example:
- Finally, I add extra fields of checkboxes into the code.

It´s the third or fourth time i followed an ajax+php+phpmailer tutorial and it simply doesnt works. Im not speaking of your tutorial, i did others before.


Im doing a landing page divided with different elements/sections. My form, comes from a flyout menu. I even try to see the "sending..." when i dont fill the form fields and nothing happens. And to drive me crazy, theres always that refresh thing when i press the button.

What in the hell am I doing wrong? I tested using xampp and uploaded to the ftp site. And nothing happens.

Great tutorial, but I have one issue. data: $('#contact').serialize(), does not work for me, practically does not return array. Do you have different solution for "data" ? Thanks
