placebo guys lol everyone has their preferences of opening packs, choosing wonder picks, going to the casino and picking a random lottery machine etc etc... the cards are determined after choosing to open a pack, whatever you choose in the merry go round doesn't matter, its to give you a sense that you have a choice when in reality you dont have a choice...

these are literally the same tactics used in casinos when you get the bonus play option to pick minor, major, jackpot tier prizes they make you think you have a choice. For me personally ive just been hitting the skip animation button when choosing packs and ripping it right away which has given me a good handful of rares and even a golden crown mewtwo

This is not true. The reason I know this is because I was opening a pack, I selected the pack I wanted from the 3 types, I decided I didn't want that type anymore (lets say I chose Mewtwo and now wanted Pikachu). I tried to exit the page and go back to change it would not let me. I had to force close the app and then open again. When I loaded it up it told me that my pack had already been opened and that I could find out the cards by going into my collection and sorting by newest obtained.

This proves that it doesn't matter which pack you choose from the circle as it has already been pre-determined the moment you choose the type you want.

I hear you saying lots of people have reported success, however, we are going to hear reports from people it has "successfully" worked for more than people it has failed.

This method is not proof of anything. And if it was, it would certainly be patched in the next few days.

This has been confirmed busted based on the in game mechanics.

The carousel is an illusion of choice exclusively. You can confirm this yourself by getting to the carousel screen, closing the app, and then watch the prompot that happens after.

Just as in hospitality, the guest perception is guest reality. In this case, Guest's reality disproves your perception. Sorry @blaines.

This is not true. People did testing before the release and the cards are choosen before you pick a pack, they all have the same cards in them.

This doesn't work at all. The second you hit open booster, the cards are already predetermined.

i ran 6 accounts at launch and i can tell you the pulls a month ago were insane compared ot pulls on a new test account from 2 days ago, i think they were pumping us up with the soft launch, like each of my 6 accounts are almost full and i have almost all decks fully built across 4 of them in the free to play just playing and opening for the first month. i think new players are getting milked to sink money into it. like i pulled 3 godpacks out of those 6 accounts in the first week of having said accounts.

Either this is false, or I'm just very unlucky. Opened 6 packs. Two of them had no options with bent corners (yes, I checked both corners of every pack), and of the four that did, best I got was a three-diamond Snorlax...

It could be completely placebo, BUT at this point I'll take anything. Just burnt some hourglasses to try this and sure enough, the ones with the bends resulted in an Arcanine EX, a Nidoking Illustration, AND the Pikachu Immersive Card 😭😭

The one time there were no bends, I got nothing but commons. The hourglasses were so worth!

The cards are predetermined when you press "open pack" as of now. So it does not matter which pack in the wheel you choose

I opened up a pack last night and all 5 cards were the alternate art cards and one of them were alternate ex Zapdos! I couldn’t believe it and thought I broke the game lol

Ok I don’t want to discredit Blaine’s here but I just tried an experiment I opened 6 packs 5 of which had bent corners the only I got a hit on was the one none bent pack AGAIN don’t want to discredit Blaine’s but this was the results of my experiment

Update: did one more for good measure and still nothing i don’t think my luck is bad considering I already pulled two gold card and one mewtwo cinematic art all from random pack picking

Heya! According to a data miner, the cards from the pack are chosen upon getting to the pack selection screen, meaning all 10 packs pull the same cards that have been pre-chosen

For some reason its working for me. Not all the time but it works more than it doesn't.

Theres some packs that are facing the wrong way those seem to always have something good in them.

Tried this for 16 packs. 3 or 4 of the them didn’t had any, some of them had multiple bend corners cards and different amounts of bends. In total I got 5 good cards (including EX and full art cards) but didn’t get any crown or I’ll immersive. So what I conclude is that the main factor is luck, cause I got more better results in my main account without doing this but this does have some benefits though. Like I noticed when I first open the bend pack I got ex mew-two, so when ever I continuously open bend packs I get common cards more. Whenever I open normal packs (like when I didn’t get any bend cards) and then bend packs I get good cards. So no guarantee but definitely worth a try.
