Legacy with the Monolith changes would be Monolitg is too cramped up and doesn't offer much, after a few hundred games the paths are the same over and over and over again. While on Legacy everything could've been different every game, there were a lot of variables and a lot of things that changed the way you played the game, wether it was how many harvesters your team controlled ( and emptied) regularly, the paths enemies could engage you from or invade were way more than on monolith too. Objectives were more fun and wards weren't a problem back then, now with the map being so small, if you don't make a wall of wards around you you're an insta gank. And now they're debuffing wards even more. Junglers will be stronger than ever and the lane to suffer the most will be the duo lane or mid depending where the jungler wants to go. It feels like Epic fired the original mastermind behind Paragon and hired some generic moba dude that happened to work on some other moba or something...

i reaaally realy loved the orb prime and the dunking, for the offense, and that u could use the op for defense as well (reviving dead inhibs) i really really think they shoub bring that back, well not exactly like that, because it had its problems. but it was so unique and fun that that mechanic made me fall in love with paragon

To be honest, i am not sure I am happy about moving away from CXP to currency, but I will hold my breath until the patch is out. I do enjoy Paragon a whole lotta, but I do not really want it to move towards what ppl call a Traditional moba. but like i said - i wanna wait until patch notes and then playing a game to actually say whether i like it or not

I feel like they're reaching a threshold where it is becoming your basic Moba however I do feel like deck building is still a unique aspect to the game. I'm enjoying the game way more now than ever and I've been playing for a year I do wish they could re add the dunk mechanic and nerf minion damage to an extent but as far as everything else goes I think it's becoming a really healthy and balanced moba.

I'm linking the sound of all these changes. But I love paragon because I love creating. And I have SOOO much fun creating decks trying to do cool builds and finding the perfect portion of stats. I think the core of the game won't be changing so im fine

watching morigesh pull the sevarog doll made me want tiny dolls to be purchasable similar to the ones morigesh can create

I feel OK with everything except for the "Corruption -> Death" thing. Just doesn't make sense at all.

I think a currency system could work with the current deck system. for example.

with a 40 card limit, they could make it so that when you build your decks, an equipment card with however many upgrades only count as one card.

however, the cost of the card will change based on the upgrades. meaning, a windcarver blade with 3 minor power upgrades could cost something like $150, but a windcarver blade with 3 major power upgrades would cost $300 or more.

this would allow people to have a variation for early/mid/late game, as well as options for, counter building.

I stopped playing Paragon. The players have become way too toxic. There's always that one person that spews insults right from the start. And the last straw for me was when my own team mate was playing as Phase and kept throwing us into the enemy team and backed off. I don't know why people have become so toxic at this point, and I do miss the legacy days. At this point I'm really happy playing Heroes of the Storm.
Oh yeah. Paragon's loot crate drops are the worst I've ever experienced in any MOBA. 95% reputation points for a level 50 player... ridiculous.

This doesn't sound like a good change to me, Paragon is the only moba I have ever enjoyed I hope they don't lose themselves.

I love how you said "the more changes they do the more it feels like a standard MOBA" I cant agree more paragon back in the early alpha days was truly a non traditional MOBA but slowly its losing that uniqueness and becoming a standard MOBA there are still some difference from paragon and other traditional MOBAS but lets be honest paragon isn't as unique and different and non traditional as it once was I personally think they should go back to the way it was in alpha and improve it from there not change it to be something else

This is such bullshit. Paragon started off being so unique and this is why I bought a Master Founder pack. We had Harvesters, power up jungle minions, orb prime dunking, card system, cxp, rooting, travel mode, spacious map. All of it is starting to fall away. I wouldn't even be shocked if they remove the card system and just put in a general store next, like Dota. This game has been flushing down the drain since it went free to play. Now they are trying to cater for all these people that moan about it being different

I've been competitive in other games and as Mooney said it does become a thing of optimization and there's usually a "correct build" but I've always been one to believe that having your own playstyle and perfecting it in the games current meta is worth a lot more than optimizing it, as doing so creates the type of monster that you should in theory "know how to deal with" but you end up getting absolutely wrecked then you look to see what you did wrong and you didn't do anything wrong the person just counter-played your counter-play. I'm actually really happy Paragon is going the playstyle route cause now I get to build some real monsters.

they keep changing things edging it closer and closer to traditional MOBAs, honestly if I wanted a fast paced traditional moba, I'd be playing smite, but I play paragon because the card system is so unique, honestly, if they're gonna change it to currency, couldn't they just keep card score, but don't cap it at 60 or something. This really worries me as knowing of the 60 cap and really feeling that when building a deck and thinking about how to balance everything out was half the fun for me, especially right after a new hero, or a hero rework.

Do you think we will even see new game modes like in Smite? I never really used to appreciate them back when playing Smite but ever since switching to Paragon being restricted to one game mode can get really stale sometimes.

something that the current card system lacks is the possibility of farming a lot and accumulating a huge amount of currency to get that one really powerful card.
you can just get your most powerful card really early in the game today, there is no real progress in the build. there some progress with the updates and nerf versions of cards, but it doesn't compare. the highest cost card in the game is only 10x as expensive as the cheapest one

well, I mean. I like that I can go through games more quickly. What they talked about was reworking the economy to allow people to maintain or even double their advantage after they hit the current max cp. the cp cap is a huge problem in games where your carry is at 60 10 or 15 min before the game ends. the carry should be able to build more if the game drags on
