We love your support, but this is not intended to be a pet channel. This was an organic moment I just happened to catch on film while testing equipment.
- I don't believe parrots should be domesticated. They are not bread to be pets. They are so intelligent that life as pet is mostly miserable, even if you are a perfect owner. A majority who buy his breed are not fit to be owners. They can live up to 90 years of age, so many owners end up abandoning these birds within their lifespan. It is very traumatic to them.
-I have Gallagher because he is rescue animal my sister saved. Even rescue parrots are not a good reason to own one. It is a huge responsibility. We are constantly rebuilding his trust towards humans and helping him unlearn aggressive behaviors.
- He just so happened to imprint on me... that is also a huge responsibility. Parrots are very monogamous, so I am his wife for life. He even gets mad if I forget our anniversary.
-All jokes aside, the reality is that because some irresponsible doo-doo head decided to go to a pet store and buy a parrot for his own fun, Gallagher has had to face the costs.
He's had a tragic life, being caged to a point where he never even learned how to fly. He will never be able to live a full life nature built him for him, nor could he survive in it at this point.
--All I can do is honor the bond he chose to share with me, respect his boundaries, and try my best to give him a happy life. And... music is his favorite thing! He MAKES me sing with him! He just loves it.
- I will never force and exploit him to make videos like these as a gimmick. The moments I choose to share are only when it's organic and he's a happy birdie.

When I was a child, I used to visit a neighbor who had a parrot that sung opera -- complete arias.
One hot summer day, when everyone had their windows open, builders were constructing houses on the previously vacant lot behind our homes.
I overheard one of the construction workers say "That woman sure is happy, but oh my God, does she have a squeaky voice."
