The F-86 Sabre from Great Planes is more than the first micro that offers true EDF jet performance and authentic jet looks in equal measure. It's also the first Great Planes model to be available as an RTF and as a Transmitter-Ready model. Like ARFs, both versions are largely assembled. And, like receiver-ready aircraft, they're equipped to get the pilot to the flight line fast. Both are factory-finished and carefully scaled for real-life appearance, with authentic decals applied and fine detail molded into the foam fuselage and wings. The look is undeniably real — and so is the performance. That's because all components are factory-matched for optimum results. The F-86 arrives with a LiPo battery and charger in the box and everything else factory-installed. In the F-86 Sabre, "everything else" includes a 4-channel Tactic™ 2.4GHz SLT™ receiver. The RTF includes it as part of the radio package. In the Tx-R version, it's the key that allows
you to fly the F-86 with your favorite transmitter and AnyLink™ Radio Adapter. AnyLink is a remarkable little black box that works with transmitters of virtually any modulation, band and brand, including Futaba®, Hitec®, JR® and Spektrum®. Adding it takes only seconds, but offers tremendous benefits. First, it enables you to continue flying with the radio you know best and trust most and enjoy the benefits of 2.4GHz technology as a bonus. Second, it also enables you to fly a much wider range of aircraft, including the F-86, all other Tx-R aircraft and any plane equipped with a 2.4GHz SLT receiver.

And whether you choose the ease of the RTF version or the future potential of the Tx-R, one thing is certain: that the F-86's combination of performance and performance is sure to provide a great jet flight experience.

Both F-86 Sabres include:
• 11,500kV brushless inrunner motor
• 30 mm HyperFlow™ ducted fan unit
• 6A brushless ESC
• 4-channel 2.4GHz SLT™ micro receiver
• (3) digital ultra-micro servos
• 7.4V LiPo flight battery
• Balancing DC LiPo battery charger
The RTF version also includes a 4-channel Tactic™ transmitter.

Specifications:

My F-86 suffered DBD yesterday. (Death by dog) I lost sight of the model briefly as I was walking around the house to land it in the back yard. It soft landed in my neighbors yard, and when I got around to the fence, their two dogs were sniffing the otherwise undamaged plane. Then when I approached, the little jerks grabbed it and started to play keep away. In the end, all that was left was some mangled styrofoam bits. I salvaged the engine and servos, so it will fly again in a new frame.

@FourDollaRacing I don't know if I've ever seen a RX-R Ultra-Micro before. HH seems to integrate their receivers with their servos/ESC to cut down on weight, so if GP does the same thing, you wouldn't be able to install your own receiver if you wanted to. Knowing how most of the RC world seems to lean Futaba or Spektrum, the AnyLink really is the best way to please both sides.

@FourDollaRacing AnyLink is not a permanent addition to your transmitter, just unplug it and it is business as usual.

Two minor crashes and you'll wish you'd never bought it. Very fragile and the flight surfaces don't seem replacable, so that along with the required AnyLink should make all but the most experienced pilots steer clear.
