I chuckled when Simon says migration solves more problems than it creates. Being from Germany, I wonder if he is in denial the havoc that migration has been wreaking to his country of origin under Merkel. And Canada is absolutely going to the dumps from rampant migration.

Great topic! So for property investors, how can we invest in suitable accommodation if there are retirees who may be looking for rental accommodation or are they nonexistent?

Wonderful insights, especially regarding mental health, securing housing for old age, and the information about superannuation, which I wasn’t aware of!

This is why I have a property investment portfolio. So I didn’t have to rely on the pension. And yet the government is doing everything to make it hard to keep. For example Victoria’s new land tax and now all the new landlord and tenant rules. I’m thinking of getting out and into shares. Is getting worse holding properties.

I agree that the idea of superannuation is great! But letting incompetent people manage your retirement money is scary. And if you are capable to manage it your self there are high cost involved. 😮

Plenty of trained age care workers in Philippines. All migrants need to pass IELTS; they only need accomodation.
