A story with no hero, no true villian. Bunny was a bigot, Henry and Richard were sociopaths, Camilla was an incestuous manipulator, and Charles was an incestuous alcoholic.
What a fucking beautiful story.

I enjoyed Secret History because of its indefinition - there is no hero or villain (all the characters really are bad people), the narrator is often unreliable, and the world is drab and bored, like a cold and brumous New England morning

I Just Miss Him Soo Much... I begin to fall in love with him when i was reading TSH and in the last he shot himself still i can not believe not even think why he did it. It took me some weeks to get over from his death i guess till now i think of him 'It is like I knew Henry from reality' you know if we really all felt this way from our fav character of TSH then Donna Tartt is really a genius writer.

have you even read the book? henry’s character is not meant to be romanticized or glorified like this. despite his appearance, he is a horrible person and a murderer. that’s the point of the entire novel-

Но когда они в начале убили фермера, чисто из научного интереса — изменился банни, он стал очень агрессивным и начал возиться с клоуком и тп.
Он был глуп, и мог, вернее почти сдал их, но они успели убить его
В книге говорилось что если в хемпдене убийство это редкость, к тому же их могли казнить, всех в 5
Поэтому убили банна, далее они пытаются снять с себя обвинения и следующий начинает меняться Чарльз, он начинает ненавидеть Генри, потому что он спит с ее сестрой и так же потому что он убил Банни, он делает намеки на то что ему плевать убьют его или нет
Он так же чуть не сдал их сказав что банни убил Генри а остальные соучастники, затем Джулиан узнает о том что банни убили и уходит навсегда
Тут можно сказать что после ухода Джулиана для Генри почти все было конечно, он любил Джулиана как Отца, даже больше,
Затем перед обедом Чарльз притащил берету, и почти убил Генри, пуля попала в Ричарда,
Генри встал у окна подозвал к себе
Камиллу, поцеловал в лоб и выстрелил себе в голову,
Он понимал что жизнь дальше для него имеет мало смысла, ибо большую часть заполнял Джулиан
Он все развесил, и по поводу Чарльза, и своих друзей, он любил их, и жертвовал всем что бы помочь, не спал ночами после убийства Банна, продумал как обмануть ФБР, он тот кто действительно переживал за своих друзей, и за себя, он был социапатом,
Смысл книги в том что все их несчастия начались с убийства, ибо убивать это большой порок.
Мне нравится Генри, даже живя он испытывал боль, некоторые наверное предполагают что он все еще жив,
Мне понравился сон ричарда в конце
То где он видел Генри, смерть Генри это изюминка
Но если бы он был жив, думаю он был бы так же холоден ко всем, и заносчив
