So glad to see you are putting punctuation inside your quotations- I had thought to cite this, but then learned that this rule is not absolute.

Some authors further distinguish internal dialogue by setting it apart in new paragraphs, even if the speaker has not changed. Then, of course, there are the multi-paragraph speeches, where leading paragraphs do not end with quotation marks but they are the first key in the following paragraph. I always forgot that.

And don't even get me started on the ideas that I was going to share about sex scenes...

Fabulous to see how steady your progress has has been. It's a solitary life but you have a muse and writer's inspiration. It's been a real treat to have been able to watch your journey.

You do not need dialogue tags at all, so long as it is clear who is speaking. This can be accomplished a number of ways. In fact, it is my personal recommendation to have an action indicate the speaker. Here's an example:

Marcus flicked his blade, twisting it in a flourish to dismiss the blood which painted it from point to hilt. Returning it to his sheath he looked to his wife, a stern expression on his face. "Are you alright, my love?"

At first, Lainey did not acknowledge Marcus's concern. She sat, quivering with rage and disgust. The moment lingered for what felt like hours before she finally gave him a grateful nod. His wife, finding her grit, rose to her feet and poured her gaze upon his. "I am now."

Also, I'd be more than happy to make an editing pass over your work, should you require it.

Maybe a video about tips for descriptive language: how much is too much, varying your diction, which elements (setting, character traits, food, etc.) should be described more thoroughly to maximize reader visualization...
