All I gotta say is... Killua says a whole lot of phrases about and to Gon that have romantic connotations in Japanese. Also, Togashi has stated that he enjoys and frequently writes LGBT characters. ALSO also, in the bonus comments in YuYu Hakusho volume 1, he spoke on the fact he originally wanted to make a manga about a Quartet where most of the characters are gay or crossdressers but it was turned down by Shounen jump, and how he would like to return to the idea but reworked and revamped once he makes a name for himself as a mangaka... And HxH was the manga he released right after YuYu Hakusho, the manga which made a name for him, so...
