How to Use a Specific Seed in Minecraft 1.18 Java AND Bedrock Editions

You have seen the Best Minecraft 1.18 Seeds but you need to know how to use a specific seed in Minecraft. This is how in Java and Bedrock Editions

In today's video, with Avomance, I am going to show you how to use a specific seed in Minecraft 1.18. This works for both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. It will also work in Minecraft 1.17 and many earlier versions.

This Minecraft Tutorial will allow you to know how to get a seed in Minecraft for your new Minecraft world.
This is for a solo world using the Minecraft Launcher for Java and the Minecraft Launcher for Bedrock.

If you want to know how to get a seed in Minecraft server you should refer to your specific server provider as they are often different.

Lol, unless I'm playing with my son I always play in peaceful. I mainly like to explore and build and I'm not into the concept of the walking dead or zombies if you will. I'm reasonably proficient at combat and it can be fun but I prefer not to. That being said you are correct in playing on at least easy. It can be exhilarating meeting the challenge of a zombie hoard or a creeper invasion etc.

The only thing is that it is not a 100% 1:1 carbon copy of the world for both platforms. In bedrock you may find that villages have been relocated and in Java you can find that the cave system is completely different for a given location, also it does not work with all seeds. Bedrock only has 2^32 seeds, whereas Java has 2^64 seeds. So, there will still be a vast number of Java seeds still unusable in Bedrock Edition. Anything from -2147483648 up to 2147483647 in Bedrock and Java Edition will have similar world generation. So when looking for specific starting biomes, biome layout, or specific structures, Chunkbase is still your best bet. I love testing with the Random Seed button.

I have tried using the seeds you provided in the past, but Java seeds are not the same as Bedrock seeds for some reason. Either I spawn in a different seed or in a different location of copied seed. (I haven't figured out which yet). I was hoping for an explanation about this.

Just figured out my Bedrock seed problem, which others may have. With Java if you can't sign in the game won't start; no offline play. Minecraft For Windows will start and then try to sign in, and then allow the game to run with no sign-in. If you're not signed in, though, the Seed function won't work.
