I loved laughing at the comments your Locked On husky pal was saying about us. Some things don't appear on a stat sheet. Like heart. Sure, 16 stupid penalties killed the huskies. But they committed those penalties. No one did that TO them. You can't grab facemasks. You can't hold jerseys. You can't jump offsides. WSU was the better team, and we played with more heart than they did because this roster wasn't purchased on the free market.

Its damn hard to be undefeated, no matter what conference you're in, and if WSU loses to a good team like Boise State, we know it's not your fault. They're a good opponent. It can happen! The Apple Cup always matters most to us Cougs. It's the highlight of the season each year and defines a successful season. We can't control the rest of our schedule this year given the circumstances.

Memphis and Tulane should be the next 2 picks to get to 8 (with OSU, WSU, Fresno State, Boise State, San Diego State and Colorado State.)

I liked UTSA, North Texas, Rice and Louisiana to get to 12, but Texas State might be a better option for one of them. I also like New Mexico State, but they seem down this year. I would have taken UNLV over Colorado State, but adding more MWC teams gets expensive. Air Force, San Jose State and Utah State might be options.

WSU needs to avoid a letdown game vs a team regarded as inferior to the Cougs. SJSU plays with a chip on their shoulder after not being included with the 4 MWC schools leaving the rest behind.

Spencer I think the lesson learned from this is betting on the Cougs means you’ll be right more often than not. At the end of the day, your predictions are just that. Predictions. This game was a toss up from the start. It could have gone either way. I’m just glad it went the way it did.

The PI and holding calls on the highlights against UW saved them Touchdowns. If they don’t commit those penalties, the score is even worse for them. Yeah there were others that probably helped the Cougs, but the 15 yarders were not UW beating themselves. Those were UW getting whipped and playing damage control.
