Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) mentioned that as the Day of Judgment approaches, time will feel like it is passing more quickly. One of the hadiths about this states:

"The Hour will not begin until time passes quickly: a year will be like a month, a month like a week, a week like a day, a day like an hour, and an hour like the flare of a fire."
(Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah – Sahih by Al-Albani)

This means that people will feel time speeding up, possibly due to a lack of blessings (barakah) in life, increased distractions, or rapid technological advancements making things move faster.

Another hadith states:

"Time will pass rapidly, knowledge will decrease, trials will appear, miserliness will be cast into people’s hearts, and there will be much Harj (killing)."
(Bukhari, Muslim)

Many scholars interpret this as a sign that people will be so busy with worldly affairs that they will feel time slipping away without achieving anything meaningful.
