Bought my '07 VTX1300R new in 2008. It's a rock solid bike with about 45000 miles now. Always been dependable and just keeps on going.

I hate videos when someone talks through the whole thing but never actually says anything.

I've got a 2005 VTX 1300 with over 100, 000 Miles on it. Used it as a touring bike and muscle bike. Been having some issues lately but after 100k miles needs more maintenance than usual. Still tips like a monster and reliable is solid.

Cool video. My 2005 VTX1300R (V&H pipes) with 26, 000 miles rides today like it did brand new. So much so I've decided to keep it, although I just bought a 2012 Road King. The 1300R has been great. Apart from tires & fluids... it just kept on keeping on. AS for the VTX1800. After a few years driving the 1300 I got an extended loan of a VTX1800. It gave me a great opportunity to decide it wasn't worth it to upgrade. 99.9 per cent of the time (the way I drive) (moderately quick) the 1300R gives me everything the 1800 would. But the trade off is the 1800 is heavier, and you kind of end up lumbering along. I think that unless you're a real full throttle/flat out/need all the horses-and-then-some guy... stick with the 1300. Great bike, phenomenal value for the money. You can pick them up today for $4, 000 or so, with often under 15, 000 miles.

Dear Honda, please build the VTX 1300 again. You could use the Fury engine. Thanks! Sincerely, VTX Fan 🤙

I sat on a 1800 after riding one of these and my legs felt spread apart and uncomfortable because the tank felt wider. So the 1300 felt better to me.

I just bought a VTX 1300r today, 04/06/2021.
Thanks to SRK cycles for the knowledge on how to buy used, new, from a dealer, etc. he also helped me purchase by first street bike which was a month ago and it was a 750 shadow aero. I literally outgrew that bike in 2 weeks. 🥂

I'm totally happy with my 1300.. Coming from a Hayabusa, ivve been 200mph.. Don't wanna go back.. I'm happy in the slower world of not having to dust state troopers because I made a mistake...

I owned a 2004 VTX 1800 for 8 years. It was "Illusion Blue P44P also called Pearl Chromium Purple" and it was the best cruiser I ever owned.

Word of caution... I have a friend that had a VTX 1800 and he's ridden bikes for years and years, and he said it almost got out from under him several times, to the point that he got rid of it.  1800's are not for beginners or even a step up from beginners... Very, very, experienced riders might consider an 1800.  Same thing for Suzuki M109R's... Too much power for some people...

Well that is your opinion, I'm 5'6 and it fitme like a glove. K&n filter adjustable carb needles and free flow pipes can turn it into a little rocket. More fuel economy than the 1800 less heavy and more maneuverability. It's a matter of taste. 9 years with it and I won't change it. No way.

I bought my VTX 1300, brand new in 07, and not a single mechanic issue, other than the standard, battery, breaks, tires. Great bike.
