After unpacking from carton and checking for damages or missing parts: I filled the crank case with motor oil up to the FULL Mark, checked the spark plug gap, moistened the foam air filter with a few drops of motor oil and finally installed the Optional HF Wheel Kit.

Getting generator ready to START and RUN: Add a small amount of Regular 87 Octane gasoline in the fuel tank, move the Choke Lever to the START Position, move the Fuel Shut Off Valve to the ON Position, place the ON/OFF switch to the ON Position, grab the Pull Cord Handle firmly and pickup any slack then give the Pull Cord a swift but steady pull (DO NOT jerk the Pull Handle if you want to save your back and your Starter Mechanism).

Are these generators as good as the Customer Reviews say they are? So far, so good. Evan after a few years (now 2019) still going strong. Below are some items that you may find useful and not always available at your local Harbor Freight.

Thought about getting one of these, since a tornado went through a part of my neighborhood last year. I'm on a pretty tight budget, and can't spend thousands on a generator. Has this been good to you? I only plan to run a refrigerator, phone chargers, and a 900 watt microwave (of course I'll unplug everything else to use the microwave).

OK....I see you have the newer version of this generator....it now has the 2 duplex 120V outlets configured with GFCI's....the older versions did not have this. I just now bought the same newer model. However, when unboxing, I didn't get the tool kit with wrenches and spark plug removal that came with the earlier versions.... did you have one in your box?

Mine is 4yrs old and still starts up on the first pull . the only thing I don't like is when I put the wheel kit on . the Generator does not sit level and slopes down towards he handle end and not the other end where the Fuel pick up is.

mine never ever ever just starts right up like that. It's like delicate flower. Never will I buy one for these again.
