A lot of people are asking what are the corresponding sizes of guard # in mm/inches so here they are
Please note that different brands might have just a tiny bit different sizes (one mm here or there) but these are close enough

Number 1: 3 mm - 1/8"
Number 2: 6 mm - 2/8" (1/4")
Number 3: 9 mm - 3/8"
Number 4: 12 mm - 4/8" (1/2")
Number 5: 15 mm - 5/8"
Number 6: 18 mm - 6/8" (3/4")
Number 7: 21mm - 7/8"

Heres a tip. Instead of using the hand-held mirror to look at the back, use the larger mirror instead. So you would turn so that your back is facing the large mirror and look at the handheld mirror while cutting the back.

Great job! I cut my own hair too. For the back, I turn my back towards the large mirror, using the hand mirror to view the larger’s reflection(larger view).
